How We Earn the Reviews

Most garage door repair companies brag about ratings without showing the work. We do it the other way around. Every job we run in Kansas City Metro ends with a follow-up text the next morning asking how the tech did. The link in that text goes straight to Google. We do not screen, gate, or curate which customers get asked. If you have hired us in the last two years, you got the same text.

That review-after-every-job approach is the reason our 213-review total is mostly new. It is also why a few three-star and four-star reviews sit in the mix. We do not delete them and we do not argue with them. If the tech missed something, the next tech goes back and fixes it on our dime. That is the standard.

What 4.9 Stars Actually Means

A 4.9 average across 213 reviews means roughly 191 five-star reviews, 16 four-star, and a handful of three-and-below. We will not pretend the lower scores do not exist. They usually fall into three buckets: a part we did not have on the truck and had to come back, a price that ran higher than the phone estimate because the failure was bigger than described, or a scheduling miss during storm season. Three Patterns From the Last 213 Jobs

1. Springs break at the worst time. Roughly 38 percent of our recent Kansas City service calls were a broken torsion or extension spring. The pattern is identical across reviews: car trapped on a Monday morning, kid late for school, homeowner panic. Same-day spring replacement is the single most common five-star review on this site.

2. Openers do not die — they limp. Read the Lee's Summit and Independence pages and you will see a recurring story: door reverses partway down, opener clicks but does not move, remote stops working from inside the car. Most of those calls turn out to be a failed logic board, a worn drive gear, or a misaligned photo-eye. Median repair Cost: quoted free in person. That number shows up over and over because we use the same parts and the same labor rate on every job.

3. Hail hits hard in Spring. April through June reviews from Olathe, Overland Park, Shawnee, and Leawood are dominated by hail damage and panel replacement work. Insurance may cover the cost. We provide a written damage report with measurements and photos so you have what you need. We do not file claims for you — that is between you and your insurance carrier.

What Reviews Will Not Tell You

A few things customers do not put in writing but matter when you are choosing a garage door company:

• What we do not do. We do not file insurance claims. We do not run financing or payment plans. We do not subcontract to outside crews. Every dispatch is our crew, our truck, our part stock.
• How fast "same day" actually is. Median dispatch from call to truck-at-door in the last 30 days: 2 hours 18 minutes during business hours, 3 hours 41 minutes for after-hours emergencies. The reviews say "same day" — the data says faster than that most of the time.
